Do the proposed changes to the foot tunnel at Greenwich/Isle of Dogs include a better way for cyclists using the stairs - a frequent necessity these past few years because one or both of the lifts are not working.

Carrying a bike up or down those stairs is really difficult, so much so that I tend to ride across the river on Tower Bridge, adding around 12 miles to my return journey.

I hope the new stairs have a flat or concave area on both sides of each staircase. so cyclists can wheel their bikes up and down the stairs.

Or a better solution.

Making transport in Greenwich so difficult is genuinely discriminating against those with disabilities or health problems, many of whom may rely on car transport or be unable to take the convoluted alternative routes often needed when DLR or Jubilee is closed.

Also economically what does it mean for businesses - especially companies that rely on getting to Docklands. Can they condemn people to financial misery socio-economic stagnation. Am I exaggerating?

Its the kind of thing that as a renter, makes you just feel like giving up and moving to somewhere else. Just one thing after another makes you feel they have it in for us here!

On the foot tunnel, I can only agree. Going through the tunnel is already an event in itself, because I can never resist the urge to yodel and embarrass my kids. Give it a clean and make sure it's safe. That's all we want.

On the Blackwall tunnell, it seems a bit much to say it's Ken's fault that the contraflow was stopped when at the same time you also say Boris can't get it restarted.

Are we to believe that Boris has less control over what happens at TfL than Ken did?

“allow colour and animation to be subtly manipulated to create different moods at different times of the day,” will “wash a feature colour on the walls,” and will provide “the infrastructure for contemporary art installations so that the tunnels can contribute to cultural life in the locality" Back in the day this nonsense used to be confined to art galleries. Tunnels were by and large used as a means of getting from A to B whilst avoiding an inconvenient landmark such as a river. I would love to work for the state, spending 50% of GDP on thiis rubbish must be awesome fun.

Been saying that another tunnel has been needed for ages. Why wouldn't they wait till they sorted out another crossing before shutting the tunnel?
