Health Poverty Action will hold it’s first ever March4Mothers in 2012. The aim is to raise awareness of the 340,000 women who die each year in pregnancy and childbirth, while also raising funds to help save the lives of mums and babies in some of the world’s poorest countries.

March4Mothers is for everyone: mums, dads, children, aunties, uncles, friends… So why not get together and prepare to put your best foot forward on 17 March.

The route is over easy ground in Greenwich Park, ideal for mums with pushchairs and mums-to-be. So please come and join us, even if you have your own bump on board. The 5km walk is suitable for all ages. Give a mother’s day present with a difference and get friends and family together to give the gift of life and hope to very vulnerable mothers and children.

    Adult Registration: £10 (+ £100 sponsorship)
    Child Registration: £5 (+ £50 sponsorship)

People do underestimate the risks, I witnessed the death of a mother when my own child was born (not my wife), someon elses at the Hospital. Births are a very risky affair.
