Hello all,
I'm potentially moving to Creek Rd around in the start of the road and would like to know what it's like. Is it a safe nice place? Any women reading this how safe do you feel coming home late at night? Are there decent places to drink locally, shop etc I know Greenwich isn't too far.
Any information would be appreciated for a possible newbie to the area.
Thanks.

Hi, I live at Millennium Quay which is along Creek Road - and I love it here. Re safety, it's no different to many other areas in SE London. Mainly, if you're sensible about stuff like not showing off flash mobile phones, etc, it's less likely that anything will happen. If I'm returning home alone late at night then I usually call a cab.
LOADS of interesting places to eat and drink around Greenwich, and Deptford too. On occasions I've also walked to Blackheath through Greenwich Park to meet friends there.
I recommend The Duke along Creek Road as a local to this area. At MQ we've adopted The Duke as our local.
Other stuff --- it's right next to the Thames river path and you get to see great big ships that come and go. There's one out there this morning. Creek Road is a great place on the London Marathon route each year.
Public transport links are good too. Close to both Greenwich and Deptford mainline stations and Cutty Sark DLR. Plus 188 bus goes into central London one way, to the O2 at Greenwich North the other way. 199 along Creek Road into Lewisham. And the 47 goes to London Bridge and into the City.
Hope this helps!
