St Alfege Park" reclaimed tonight"

(4 posts)
  1. This evening I watched a stunning show: "The Garden", presented by Graeae Theatre Company and Strange Fruit (part of Discover Greenwich programme).
What I am so thrilled about is that after more than twenty years of low life rule in this much unknown and under used park in central Greenwich it has now been rediscovered. Please use it and not lose it!

Let's hope there are more events held there in future that utilise an underused resource.

Does this park have a "Friends" group like the ones for East Greenwich Pleasunce and Greenwich Park?

I'm pleased to tell you (after 12 long months - sorry, only just seen the post) that there is a Friends of St Alfege Park group. You can find out more, and about our upcoming Parksfest event (9 July 2011) on our website: http://www.wix.com/stalfegepark/friends#!

There will be swingboats, candyfloss, dance, circus skills and live music to suit all tastes!

Find out more about Parksfest (across Greenwich this June and July) at http://www.parksfest.org

Hope to meet some new Friends of the park on the 9th.

    Cheers!
