Trees cut down in Greenwich

Four trees were cut down yesterday on the strip of land between Creek Road and Bardsley Lane in SE10. There is no building work scheduled there that I'm aware of, nor were the trees diseased as far as I know. Does anyone know why they were cut down, or how I can find out? (I've tried Greenwich Council's website but it only seems to have a link for reporting tree problems, not one detailing any arboreal works that may be undertaken within the borough.)
    Thanks.

You will need to submit a Freedom of Information request, to

    Mr Alan Soskin
    Corporate Information Manager
    Greenwich Council
    Human Resources & Organisational Improvement
    alan.soskin@greenwich.gov.uk

asking for a BS3998:2010-compliant report/explanation for the felling of these four trees.
