<description>Sir as a family living in bexleyheath but often visiting Greenwich park and area at all times of the year we are totally appalled at the decision to use the park for 2012 . digging up a golf course in HK is hardly the same as a park of 500yrs with trees of huge size and such historic value never mind the local people who like to use it often. i wonder in this day we live in if those in Government or local officials have any thought what so ever for real people and the impact on them , my son in law works in essex and trying to use one of the tunnels is hard enough without any extra traffic .one small blip and the whole thing turns into a nightmare have any of the council or the cosultants driven about during the rush hour to observe the impact on travel ? I doubt that . What about the families on school holidays who use the park lots of local homes don,t have gardens and the tourists who come from far and wide to view the various historical sites as part of a trip to the UK . I see NO reason why Hckstead or suchlike cannot be used thats what they are for surely and not very far away , As London doesnt have a coast line that to be overcome so whats the big deal about the horses .
