That is such a crap review, there is nothing wrong with the pub or the staff,i drink there regularly and love the place, okay the food menu hasn't changed for ages but it's tasty, filling and not over priced.
I find the staff friendly but not in you're face and the best member of staff is the white cat that strolls around,he's cool!

No more to be said but you critics do piss me off with you're opinions at times!

It's a great pub!! Sunday roasts are excellent, far better than standard pub slop. And what about the Vanbrugh burger? Meaty beaty big ang bouncy. Having said that, the veggie options aren't brilliant, it's definitely more for meat eaters. Although the goat's cheese tartlet is a winner according to my veggie house mate.

The staff are very friendly and there's always something going on - quizzes, film nights, sports etc. Whoever has a problem with the garden at Greenwich council needs their head examined. They've done a great job and the sooner they get permission to use it all the better.

If the real ale selection was better it would be Nirvana, but look what happened to Kurt Cobain. Eh?

Whoa there! You must've gone on a peculiar day - the food's usually amazing. Nachos I had last time were generously dressed and there were too many of them for me to finish eating on my lonesome. Not to mention the fact they make a bundle of their own sauces (salsas and whatnot) and source all their meat and fish at local suppliers - several are organic. There's a thing by the bar that says where it's all sourced from.

People seek it out because it's friendly and cosy and shows sport and films and has a pub quiz and a beer garden and everything else. And it's the local of many of us who also live by the (electric) train tracks (not wonderfully located? Have you seen Maze HIll property prices??)
