I am very glad to hear that some local businesses did so well with custom from the Climate Change Camp (eg “Provender”, in Blackheath). The Mayor of Lewisham’s reaction was so off the mark and out of touch.

There’s nothing wrong with a climate camp but do they need to be having a party at midnight outside my window…. Surely they’re against (noise) pollution!

Can I recommend this article from 2001, “The Psychology of Denial:
our failure to act against climate change”, which summarises why all the information in the public domain does not result in change and may even intensify denial, and explains why each of us must do something – however small – to loosen the “bystander loop”.

I was up there for an hour this afternoon with my young niece, a climate change activist. It was standing-room only at the workshop on building your own (wind) generator.
