What are the alternatives to a ferry replacement 'Anon'? How can organising a replacement in order to help the public have access between north and south of the river be a waste? It’s not a waste of money , not when you have thousands of pedestrians and cyclists walking through the foot tunnels every day, as well as the tourists. The vast majority make the tunnel a living hell - whizzing through the tunnel on their bikes, even though they are not allowed to. Even since the gates have been put in place they still ride through them - not caring about pedestrains that get in their way. Hopefully fines will be introduced and handed out to the offenders soon. As for Tom's attitude it sucks. He wants to lose £11.5m of public funds that are designed to make the tunnel a safer place.
