Hi Rob this is Nichola i heard the news again about the stabbing to death yesterday early hours in greenwich. we are so afraid to go out . we realy think that police should have more patrol units arond the area to show to the public that they are around and close to any situations that my occur. It is allways weekends . We are not safe anymore. what are the precautions taken by the police and authorities for these cases….is it going to carry on like this!!

Nichola – the chances are this stabbing is related to some stupid dispute between teenage gangs and therefore isn’t a MAJOR danger to all Greenwich residents. I really don’t think it should make you stay at home. Statistically you run a far higher risk of dying by falling down the stairs in your own house than being stabbed, no matter what the Daily Mail tells you. Doesn’t mean you’re not going to walk upstairs right?! Don’t let the criminals win by scaring you.

Anonymous, you are very quick to judge things! How on earth do you know what really happened?
In fact the victim was a lovely man who had two small toddlers! A very hard worker who supported his family and was not part of a teenage gang. His little girl, friends and family adored him. Think before you judge.

The victim was not part of a gang,he was a lovely young man out for a night out with friends, what is the world coming to when you cant go out for a drink with friends.the police and the media should get all there facts correct the way they assume its gang related is wrong.think of the young mans young family ,they shouldnt hear lies about him.

I agree with Rose and Friend. .. Anonymous – think before you speak or pass judgement, you should get your facts right before you say anything. Its a sad loss and the person in question will be missed dearly – it was a totally unprovoked attack and the person who did this deserves to be locked away for life..

I send my condolences to his family, he will be miessed dearly.

R.I.P my friend you will never be forgotten….

paul was a freind of mine and i know he was a nice man with love for his 2 kids.
he wasnt the sort of man looking for a fight he was just a normal bloke. i hope for the familys sake that the convicts are brought to justice. anyone who thinks that you have more chance dying from falling down the stairs is an arrogant stupid foul. rest in peace paul and im so sorry for the family members. x

My paul has been taken from me and our babies and his family and all his many friends who loved him. It was a senseless murder with no provocation and no motive, any one who says different doesnt have a clue. We were there with him when he was attacked and when he was taken from us and he will always be with us. We love you and miss you so much, I hope you can see us from wherever you are. I love you always.

I’ve known Paul and his family for many years.
Paul was a very friendly outgoing young man. Seeing him grow into the young man that he was and becoming a father to 2 beatifull children was really the making of him.

Such a great loss of a life.

My heart goes out the the family he loved and adored very much….

    You’ll never be forgotten!!!!!

Sincere apologies for the mistake, I am very very sorry for the family and friends of this man who sounds amazing.

I just don’t think that anyone should be so scared they can’t go out of the house. THAT is the unfortunate fallout of the media frenzy which whips up a frenzy of fear after very tragic, rare, horrible events like this. It’s not serving anyone – relatives or residents alike.

If we let these disgusting pathetic criminals terrify us then they have truly won, and I for one won’t let them scare me into abandoning going out in Greenwich, which I love. I would hope everyone here would agree with that.
