GREENWICH, Paul McPherson Gallery. Tina Mammoser, a Greenwich based artist, will show the new "Black Paintings" in a show of dramatic artworks about dark and light.
Tina's paintings are subtle minimalist seascapes inspired by cycling around the British coast. The exhibition "Dark" features three large new pieces alongside a selection of other paintings and printmaking that explore the balances of dark and light during stormy sea weather. The selected work let to the creation of what she calls the "Black paintings". Rather than being about black and white the artworks are actually an exploration of how darkness frames light and colour.
