Missing Pets: Is This Your Cat?

September 18, 2009 By Rob Powell

Jenny has contacted Greenwich.co.uk about a cat that has been coming through her catflap.

I am on the Greenwich Deptford border – behind Wickes/ Pets at Home on Blackheath Road.

“Shadow”, as I have named him or her, is (semi) longhair, mostly grey with tabby markings and white on face, chest and paws.

Seems very hungry (eats all the food that I put out for my 3 cats!) and is ok with cats – goes nose to nose with them – but very shy of people – if I move a muscle he/she runs (so haven’t been able to see if he/she is chipped or not

If you think this is your cat, please look in the window of the vets in Greenwich South Street as I have put up a poster with a photo and my contact details.

Proof of ownership (photos etc) will be required

Or contact Greenwich.co.uk and we will put you in touch.

hello there, this kitty im sure i know.i live in whitworth st just off trafalgar rd.i had a neighbour who owned it. she moved 2 years ago just around the corner.but she left without taking the cat with her. so it is homeless without a loving home. poor little thing. if i didnt have my dog i would take him in myself. i have a neighbour across the road from me that also feeds him. he goes in her house everyday for food apart from saturdays which made us think someone else may have taken him in. she has a cat already they dont mind one another but she dooesnt want to take him full time as it would upset her cat.my kind neighbour also has made a cosy bed space in the shed which he goes in when its cold. i cant tell you how sorry i feel for this cat as im a animal lover. i always see him roaming the streets and i wonder how he has survived so long. it beaks my heart.he is so beautiful hes name is sykes.and hes around 4-6 years old.hes had a bad foot for a while she was wondering weather to try an take him vets. he totally dislikes women is very scared and wont come near just runs off if you approach him. but my kind neighbour has a husband who he will go to. i only came across this page by chance and couldnt belive that someone had put his picture up. im sure its him. u cant not with his pretty markings around his mouth. i thought about ringing the cats protection at blackheath to see weather they could trap him and find him a forever home.but so far i have not. he used to sneak in my next door neighbours but they had electronic cat flap put on so he couldnt.i hope this helps you can contact me if you want.
