Body Worlds at the O2

Body Worlds at the O2: October 24th 2008 - August 23rd 2009

Gunther von Hagens’s Body Worlds exhibition has opened at the O2 in North Greenwich. The show will run from today right though to August 2009.

It gives visitors the chance to see dead human bodies close up having gone through a process called plastination. The bodies were donated in a body donation programme. The purpose of the show is apparently to help laymen understand their bodies better and get a better awareness for looking after their bodies.

It’s not really my cup of tea, but it’s been massively popular at its previous showings here and around the world so tickets are bound to sell quickly.
