    Hello Rob Powell
Always makes a good shot and I’m sure one that millions would prefer to remain bright, crisp and untouched!!!
Greenwich Park is a unique and fragile place – certainly not one to be traded or exchanged.
Supposedly a UNESCO World Heritage Site (a place of special cultural or physical significance) which I assumed gave it ultimate protection on a par with The Great Barrier Reef, The Acropolis, The Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew, Yellowstone and many other places we ain’t making anymore.

Well evidently not. Greenwich Council who have handed over the keys to snake oil salesman Coe and his ludicrous five ring circus appear to value it on the same level as ‘Vicky Park’ or Wormwood Scrubs.

Walk around this special place while you can! Soon Coe and his Olympic gangsters will be locking us out and f****** it over with an obscene £60,000,000+ budget. All for an ill conceived event which will leave the Park in a trashed state and with no benefit the community whatsoever.

Well, park keeper, we heard all that from you and your friend Indigo – remember, chemical warfare, barrow mounds-trashed – about the warm up event. And everything looks fine.

Well Pedro, puzzled to know what you’re on and what you’re on about but if you believe everything is just fine, enjoy the up-coming degrading.
I myself look forward to a good stoning.
I’ll spot you in the Park no doubt.
You’ll be one of the Locog mob I guess, sporting the standard s*** eating grin.

Park keeper, glad to see you’re exhibiting the normal nogoe combination of rampant paranoia and gratuitous insults.

I was worried about the park, but a closer look at the tiny huddle of people who oppose its use for the games made my mind up for me. There are never any real arguments, merely Chicken Little apocalyptic pronouncements that make you look rather silly.

There’s none so blind as will not see. I give you Pedro as an instance.

I did not see damage to barrows – despite Nogoe’s horror stories about them. Nor will I see people dying from chemical warfare (check out Indigo’s threads about the lawn treatment being used). But I do see all your insults to people who don’t agree with you, as well as the childish accusations that they’re locog stooges.

I have been posting on greenwich.co.uk for a year or two, as you can check, and I, like many, am less worried about the use of the park than i was at the beginning because those scare stories peddled by indigo and park keeper have, over the months, been revealed as nonsense. And that was why on your great day of protest there were only dozen nimbies.

I note also the contrast between Indigo’s paranoia about lawn treatment agents, and his relaxed attitude to having dozens of gravestones smashed, merely because the person responsible for the latter is a mate of his. Which of the two will permanently affect Greenwich?
