How is this story an exclusive – when it will have gone out to loads of media outlets from the council and/or central government?

Someone getting slightly over excited perhaps?

Hi Jim – ah, such a ray of sunshine. The story was issued to media outlets today – I published it on the site yesterday. That’s 24 hours before other media outlets even received the press release. In news parlance, I believe that’s known as an an “exclusive”. I thought the word was quite understated… I was actually considering a big flashing sign saying SCOOP.

Have a nice day, Jim, and can I suggest you lighten up a bit?

Hi Tony – thanks for the comment. We will be publishing a new post on this very subject tonight or tomorrow.

So you are closing both tunnels for a year, for a refurb that is not necessary, so cyclists and walkers on both sides will be stranded.

    Why not do them consecutively?
