Daily Photo 25/12/08: Christmas in Greenwich
Greenwich.co.uk had a little competition, offering £25 of Amazon vouchers to the best Christmas photo we received.
And the winner was…. someone who wished to remain anonymous! But congratulations to them, hope you pick something nice in the sales with the voucher. Here’s the winning picture below:
Daily Photo 24/12/08: Mr Humbug
I was having a look through my photos to see if I had anything appropriate for today, Christmas Eve. The best I could come up with was this one of Mr Humbug in Greenwich Market. “Bah Humbug” was the catchphrase of Ebeneezer Scrooge, who in the Dickens novel “A Christmas Carol” was visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve.

Daily Photo 21/12/08: Top of Maze Hill
Photo taken at the top of Maze Hill.
Oops, looks like I missed my Daily Photo yesterday for the first time since I started doing them. My Christmas shopping took me as far as Reading in Berkshire where I had a look around the Woolworths (I want to see as many of them as I can before they disappear) and couldn’t but notice that the reading material in Reading was a little limited…
Competition: Win £25 Amazon Voucher for Best Greenwich Christmas Photo
Each day, Greenwich.co.uk publishes a photo of Greenwich in the Greenwich Daily Photo, and we want to find an extra special photo use as our Daily Photo on Christmas Day itself, so there is a £25 Amazon Gift Voucher as a prize for the best photo submitted which captures the spirit of Christmas in Greenwich.
In order to enter, the photo just needs to be taken in Greenwich and have some kind of Christmas element. Send entries (either as attachments or links to them on Flickr etc) to rob@greenwich.co.uk and the winning photo will be published on the site on Christmas day.
Closing date for entries is 4pm on Christmas Eve.
