In the last square, we decided that the Greenwich equivalent of Oxford Street was Trafalgar Road. Now we turn our attention to another shopping location: Bond Street.
Bond Street isn’t actually the name of a street – it’s the short hand name given to two streets: Old Bond Street and New Bond Street. These streets are home to a number of upmarket boutiques.
So, what part of Greenwich should replace Bond Street? College Approach? Nelson Road? Greenwich High Road? Greenwich Market? Or how about going ironic and choosing Greenwich Retail Park? Submit your entry below – usual rules apply – and we’ll pick a winner.
The board won’t be complete without Greenwich Market and I don’t think it could go anywhere else so I’ll enter Greenwich Market for Bond Street.
I think Greenwich market should perhaps be saved for one of the railway stations (as one of the four tourist attractions)
I would say Royal Hill – with the cluster of exclusive tucked away independant shops!
Hmm two good entries! This one is going to take some further deliberation. Tony’s idea of doing tourist attractions instead of stations is interesting though…. !
Greenwich High Road would be my choice.I like the sound of it.
I like the idea of four tourist attractions rather than the utilities ie cutty sark,o2 dome , maritime museum and observatory/greenwich mean timeline.
I deliberated a little longer on this and decided that Greenwich Market was the winner. It’s an interesting shopping destination, and in the game you will be able to put a hotel on it, which is exactly what Greenwich Hospital wants to do I believe!
So Tom gets an entry into the draw, as does Susanne who posted on the wrong thread but it was intended for here.
Tony Usher’s idea was excellent though and when we get to the Station squares, I think we will go with attractions instead.
