We’ve had some fun “Where in Greenwich is this?” type picture posts before but if you can identify the spot at which the picture above was taken, there’s more than kudos up for grabs. Mike Catterall from Mike Catterall Floral Designs in Trafalgar Road has generously put up a hand tied bouquet to the value of £30 as a prize. It can be picked up from the shop or delivered to any address in the UK.
So, to win the bouquet, all you need to do is work out where I took the picture above in Greenwich SE10, and post your answer as a comment on this post. The winner will be the first person to post the right answer here as a comment. If nobody has got it right by the end of the afternoon, I will add some “hot and cold” clues to the answers suggested.
UPDATE: Well done to Graham for getting it right in the comments below – the answer was the auction house in Old Woolwich Road, near to the Power Station opposite Stone Interiors. Here’s the bigger picture…
Is it the Old Lewis’s place on Denham Street?
The abandoned building next to “up the creek” on creek rd?
Sorry guys, not the right answers.
Blackwall Lane, opposite the social club?
What about the mausoleum in Devonport Gardens?
The old police house/asylum hostel in Catherine Grove
Old BT Building on Maze Hill?
Sorry, nobody has it yet.
East Greenwich Pleasaunce? OK, so I’m now guessing….LOL
There’s a clue coming up at 4pm !
Old Town Hall , Peyton Place?
As promised, a clue:
This place is a stone’s throw from the river.
Ambassador, with this clue you are really spoiling us……….
The Hall behind the Trafalgar Tavern?
Creek Bridge?
The power station on Old Woolwich Road?
Sorry, still not got it. And I thought that was a pretty good clue!
At 4.30, I am going to help again and tell you which answers are “hot or cold”
Foot tunnel? Not that I can remember a window but it’s worth a try…
it’s not the Marble place on Old Woolwich Road?
Is it the stone mason’s on Old Woolwich Road?
Ok, here goes with some more help:
Old Lewis’s place on Denham Street – Fairly cold
Creek Road – Freezing
Blackwall Lane by the Social Club – tepid
Devonport Gardens – Very cold
Catherine Grove – Freezing
BT building, Maze Hill – a little warmer
East Greenwich Pleasaunce – lukewarm
Peyton Place – Super-cold!
Hall behind the trafalgar tavern – lukewarm
The power station on Old Woolwich Road – boiling hot.
in the Foot tunnel – cold and wet.
Part of the auciton house / garage building on Old Woolwich Rd. Literally 5 seconds walk from my house…
Oh, and now I get your clue. Stone Interiors. Cunning.
We have a winner!!! Well done Graham!!!
Yep, the stone mason’s and the power station were very very close, but Graham is exactly right. Will email you about the prize, Graham
Thanks to everyone for trying 🙂
The auction house on the corner of old woolwich and lassel?
arse, too late! 🙂
Oh
Oh
I know where it is!
Would it be so bad if i won my own bouquet?
I was going to say that…….so I’ll try something different. How about the school on Old Woolwich Road?
Sorry Bob!
LOL, Mike!
Damn!!!!
Now I’ll have to buy the bouquet for the Mother in Law!! What do you do for £2.50 and a couple of shirt buttons Mike?
Dazza,
How about a button hole now your missing the buttons?
